WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER THE TREATMENT ?
  • KEEP the injection site dry and clean after treatment within at least 2 weeks.
  • AVOID touching the implanted area, taking alcohol, drugs, or applying facial care products and cosmetics for a few days after injection to decline stronger bruising, swelling, and the risk of inflammation.
  • AVOID exposing injected sites to hot and humid environments, such as solarium, sauna and sunlight or frigid climate environment until initial swelling and redness have recovered.
  • AVOID injecting complementary gels in implanted areas after treatment in the next 7 days.
  • DO NOT over massage or compress the fragile implanted area a few days after injection for reducing risk of wound contamination or irregular shape.
  • AVOID excessive movements, such as jumping, jogging and running, to decrease the risks of local mobility and implant displacement.
WILL I BE ABLE TO FEEL THE DERMAL FILLER ONCE I HAVE BEEN TREATED ?

Although any implantations may lead to a 'foreign body’ type of sensation, and should have no concerns, the feeling will gradually disappear after a few weeks.

IS THERE A RISK OF ALLERGIC REACTION TO DERMAL FILLER ?

If you have concerns regarding allergy or hypersensitivity, consult with your healthcare professional prior to treatment so a proper medical assessment can be performed.

IS IT SAFE TO INJECT DERMAL FILLERS ?

The implantation of the product must be practiced under national legislation by authorized professionals, trained with implantation injection and who have sufficient anatomical knowledge of the treatment site. Injecting Dermal Fillers with anesthetics into human body operated by qualified professionals is regarded as a safe procedure. However, any injection procedure is associated with the risks of infection. Experienced and trained authorized professionals with appropriate injecting techniques may reduce the risk of inflammation. Also, please consult professionals to evaluate your physical conditions (e.g. potential side effects/symptoms, any allergies, medication…) and actively inform doctors of this these information prior to the procedure.

  • There are some contraindications for the use of the HYADERMIS family series of products in those who:
    • Have hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid.

  • Common injection-related adverse events might be experienced after treatment including: erythema, swelling, pain, pruritus, haphalgesia, tenderness, contusion, bruising, haemorrhage and suppuration. These reactions would be resolved within 1 to 2 weeks without any intended treatments.
  • Other side effects that have been reported post-marketing for the products are nodules, discoloration, skin eruption, desquamation, pigmentation changes, lip blister, granuloma, numbness, allergies, irregular shape (papules/depressed deformation) or foreign body sensation.
  • The above responses are likely to last more than two weeks, or even delay to appear until after several weeks.
  • No severe adverse events have been recognized as HYADERMIS series of products or device-related.
  • Normally, tissue infections and skin necrosis may not be resolved easily. Its causes are related to professionals’ operation and injection errors rather than dermal fillers and device-related.
  • If any side-effect occurs, must be reported to your healthcare professionals, and get medical care immediately.
  • Periodic touch-ups can help sustain the desired appealing corrections.
ARE DERMAL FILLER INJECTIONS PAINFUL ?

Any injection may cause personal discomfort, and this may depend on the site for injection, personal sensitivity or the technique used by your health care professional. Application of topical anesthesia to the injected area before treatment will significantly reduce pain or discomfort during the procedure. HYADERMIS LA includes lidocaine, a widely used topical aesthetic making the procedure essentially pain-free.

WHAT IS DERMAL FILLER, AND HOW DOES IT WORK ?

The primary component of dermal filler is Hyaluronic Acid, a carbohydrate found throughout nature in the animal kingdom, including the human body. It keeps our connective tissues hydrated and makes the skin plump, but declines with aging. It also acts as a humectant which locks in moisture, rejuvenates and restores the firmness of the skin. Hyaluronic Acid gels are highly biocompatible and safe to use. Dermal fillers augment skin wrinkles and contours by enhancing the elasticity of the skin, reducing Hyaluronic degradation that occurs over time. The effect is to make skin smooth, elastic, and look younger.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE TREATMENT ?

Treatment with the HYADERMIS series typically takes less than one hour (individual treatment time may vary).

Consult your healthcare professionals about your expected pain control before treatment.

The healthcare professionals should disinfect the treated area before treatment.

To achieve the best HYADERMIS performance, the healthcare professional would use appropriate needles for injection.
